Rotary District 7640
Serving Southern New Jersey

Volume 1 | Issue 15

Welcome to another issue of my weekly message!

I hope that you all had a great week! My week was amazingly busy.

I wanted to tell you all about my Club Visit to the Deptford Rotary Club last week. First, they honored me with a new name “Prints Charming”! Quite appropriate since I have my own printing business. I got a good laugh out of that one. And at the end of my presentation they gave me a memento, a “golden pig” named “Neil”. It seems that a one point in time there were more pigs in Deptford than people and they are honoring that historical fact by giving guests a token of their appreciation, a “golden pig”! I have a book case in my den where I keep special things, “Neil” is now on one of the shelves!

Disaster Relief
The natural disasters that have occurred this year are unprecedented. I am asking all Rotarians to consider giving generously to help those in need. It is certainly disheartening to see the news today and see that Hurricane Nate struck Louisiana and Mississippi. As I write this email the damage done by Nate is still unknown and many are without power.

                Renuka Desantls – Health Care
Judy Balliere - Life Time Achievement
                Kathy Ross - Non Profit
                Pamela Fisk - Education
                Karen Hagerman - Business

Please come out and support these amazing women and learn their stories.
District 7505
Rotary International has advised us that we will be merging with District 7500 effective July 1, 2018. This merger is a tremendous opportunity for both districts. The merged district will have 82 clubs and approximately 2300 members.  That means more hands to work on projects, more money to do grants, more opportunity to do good in the world. We have always had a close relationship with district 7500 and will do many things together.
